Explore the new update of Ekahau AI Pro Online: Capacity Planning, Advanced Visualization, and Inspection Tool

April 16, 2025

This major upgrade incorporates highly anticipated features that are already available on the platform. With these enhancements, Ekahau AI Pro Online takes a significant step towards transforming the way Wi-Fi networks are planned, visualized and validated, offering a more intuitive, accurate and comprehensive approach.

Here are the key new features of this release:

Capacity planning: anticipate actual network performance

The most prominent feature of this update is the new capacity planning tool. This allows you to easily and efficiently define the connectivity requirements per zone. Simply specify the estimated number of customers per area and a heat map is automatically generated to indicate whether the current infrastructure can support this density.

This functionality is essential to anticipate potential bottlenecks and ensure an optimized design for real-world conditions, such as high-density spaces (classrooms, auditoriums, shared offices) or large-scale facilities with different concentrations of users.

Unified visualization of projects

A new centralized visualization mode has also been incorporated, allowing you to review all projects - both design and study - directly from AI Pro Online, without the need to use Ekahau Insights. This integration facilitates the analysis, comparison and presentation of different network scenarios, contributing to more agile and informed decision-making.

Dynamic inspection: real-time analysis, where it is needed

The inspection tool has been revamped to offer more dynamic network analysis. It is now possible to place a marker at any point on the map to access detailed metrics for that location. In addition, by dragging such a marker, the movement of a mobile user can be simulated, providing an accurate view of network behavior in real time.

This advanced functionality allows you to observe roaming performance, identify potential handover issues, validate continuous coverage and ensure a seamless connectivity experience throughout the environment.
